Mission, Vision and Organisational Values Statement
CLARENCE GREEN COLLEGE-GET TO KNOW US
Purpose
Clarence Green College is committed to providing high-quality, inclusive and responsive education and training that supports learners to develop the knowledge, skills, confidence and professional behaviours needed to achieve their personal, educational and employment goals.
Our mission, vision and organisational values guide the way we work with learners, staff, employers, partner organisations and other stakeholders.
These values are embedded across the learner journey, from initial enquiry and enrolment through teaching, learning, assessment, learner support, progression and completion.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality education and training that enables learners to achieve recognised knowledge and skills, progress in their chosen careers and make a positive contribution within their workplaces and communities.
We aim to provide learning that is relevant to the needs of individuals, employers and the sectors in which we operate.
For learners studying adult social care programmes, we seek to promote the knowledge, skills, values and professional behaviours needed to provide safe, compassionate, respectful and person-centred care.
Our Values
At Clarence Green College, our values shape the way we teach, support learners, work with employers and develop our programmes. They reflect our commitment to high-quality education while also promoting the professional behaviours expected across the sectors in which our learners may work.
Respect and Inclusion
We treat every learner, colleague and stakeholder with dignity, fairness and respect. We value individual differences, backgrounds, experiences and aspirations and are committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where everyone has the opportunity to participate and succeed.
Care and Understanding
We approach people with kindness, empathy and consideration. We recognise that every learner is an individual with different experiences, circumstances, strengths and support needs. We listen, seek to understand and provide appropriate support throughout the learner journey.
Integrity and Trust
We act honestly, responsibly and professionally. We aim to be reliable in the commitments we make and transparent in the information, advice, teaching and support we provide. We promote ethical behaviour, confidentiality, academic integrity and accountability.
Learner-Centred Practice
We see each learner as a whole person rather than simply someone completing a qualification. We consider their starting point, previous experience, learning needs, personal goals and career aspirations when providing education, assessment and support.
We encourage learners to take an active role in their development and to build the confidence and independence needed for future learning and employment.
Courage and Responsibility
We encourage learners and staff to take responsibility for their actions, speak up appropriately and uphold high standards.
We believe in addressing concerns openly, challenging poor or unsafe practice where necessary and making decisions based on fairness, professionalism and the wellbeing of others.
Learning and Continuous Improvement
We believe that learning applies to our organisation as well as to our learners.
We are open to feedback, new ideas and different ways of working. We use learner feedback, employer engagement, quality assurance, staff development and sector developments to review and improve what we do.
We encourage curiosity, reflection and continued professional development.
Aspiration and Positivity
We believe in recognising achievement, building confidence and helping people realise their potential.
We promote a positive learning culture where learners are encouraged to aim high, recognise their strengths and take pride in their progress.
We are proud of the contribution that education and training can make to individuals, employers and wider communities.
Partnership and Responsiveness
We work collaboratively with learners, employers, awarding organisations and other stakeholders.
We listen to the needs of those we work with and seek to ensure that our programmes remain relevant, accessible and responsive to changing workforce and community needs.
