The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace. This qualification forms the competence requirements for those learners working in both health and adult care settings at level 2, allowing learners to enter either workforce. The content is appropriate for roles such as adult care workers, healthcare assistants/support workers and personal assistants.
This qualification supports delivery of the Adult Care Worker apprenticeship standard and may support delivery of the Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship standard.
To complete the Highfield Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF), learners must complete the following:
• all units contained within the mandatory group
• a minimum of 22 credits from optional group
